Parties associated with a defeasance transaction typically include the servicer, servicer’s counsel, borrower, borrower’s counsel, securities broker, custodian, accountant, rating agencies, and the successor borrower.
“Our client continues to restructure their multifamily portfolio which required them to defease their existing loan. The sale of the 348-unit complex, located in Reno, retired $18M in CMBS debt. We look forward to working with them again” – Carol Tillman, COO with Waterstone
